Webinar: Introducing the New York State Family Planning Program Policy and Procedure Guidance
In this webinar, New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) staff introduced a new Policy and Procedure Guidance document that is intended for use by all family planning agencies that contract with NYSDOH for FPP grant funds. In exchange for these funds, NYS Family Planning Providers (NYSFPP) are required to administer programs that seek to fulfill the mission by providing high-quality family planning services and related preventive health services to women, men, and adolescents, with an emphasis on priority populations experiencing disparate health outcomes. NYSFPP subrecipients are required to have written policies and procedures in accordance with NYSFPP requirements and Title X statues and regulations. The Policy and Procedure Guidance document is meant to provide subrecipients with guidance and strategies to maintain compliance with program requirements. Brittany DeWitt, MPH, Health Program Administrator with the Comprehensive Family Planning and Reproductive Health Program at NYSDOH provided an overview of this new resource.
