Developing Partnerships with Behavioral Health Providers in Family Planning Settings

In this webinar, we discussed strengthening partnerships with behavioral health providers, such as syringe access sites, to meet the family planning and behavioral health needs of clients. Developing partnerships and having referrals for other services is a program requirement. The webinar reviewed New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) expectations for Community Participation, Community Education, and Program Promotion (CPEP) and how to integrate behavioral health partnerships into CPEP planning efforts. The webinar featured Charlton Clay from the NYSDOH AIDS Institute Office of Drug User Health and two family planning programs, Laura Churchill from Greene County Family Planning and Giokazta Molina-Schneider and Annette Marzan from Planned Parenthood of Greater New York, who shared their experience in developing partnerships with behavioral health providers in their community. The session took place on Thursday, February 25th at 3 pm EST.
