Spring Clinical Case Series

These sessions will feature clinical case discussions and clinical updates for Title X providers. Sessions will utilize a combination of didactic presentation and interactive discussion, and are offered during the lunch hour on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

 

Clinical providers who attend the sessions and complete an evaluation are eligible to receive Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credits.

 

Session 1: Clinical Strategies for HIV Prevention: PEP & PrEP

Tuesday, February 17 from 12 – 1pm; Register here. 

During this session we’ll review guidelines for prescribing PEP and PrEP, and discuss best practices for improving access, retention in care, and clinical management, with a special focus on utilizing PEP/PrEP in women and adolescent populations. Session 2: NYS STI Clinical Updates

Join us to discuss what’s happening with sexually transmitted infections (STI) in New York State! We will review recent epidemiological trends from the 2024 STI Surveillance Report, discuss the two new medications approved by the FDA to treat uncomplicated urogenital gonorrhea infection, and introduce the new STI Data Dashboard. 

 

Session 3: Moving from Reproductive Life Planning to Exploring Reproductive Desires and Family Formation

  • The transition from reproductive life planning to screening for reproductive desires and related care.
  • Two frameworks for screening, including available tools for each approach.
  • Strategies for integrating client screening for reproductive desires and interest in family formation into your clinical practice.
