The New York State Family Planning Training Center has partnered with Envision SRH to offer you free in-person and virtual workshops on reproductive desires counseling in Fall 2023! The workshops will train participants on the PATH framework (Parenting/Pregnancy Attitude, Timing, and How important is pregnancy prevention). This inclusive approach combines open-ended, non-judgmental questions with specific counseling skills designed to effectively and sensitively engage with patients about their reproductive desires, and when appropriate, pre-pregnancy care, contraception, and infertility services. These highly interactive workshops will be a combination of didactic content, case studies, videos, small group discussion, and skills practice. You can choose from two in-person workshop locations or a virtual option. CNEs will be provided. Register here.

In-person Workshops

The full-day in-person workshop will be offered in two locations. Participants are responsible for meals and transportation to and from the workshop venues (directions and nearby parking and lunch options will be provided). We encourage you to register for the in-person workshop most convenient to you, even if your clinic does not affiliate itself directly with either Rochester or New York City.

Rochester-area based providers

Virtual Workshop

The Training Center will also offer a virtual workshop for providers unable to attend an in-person workshop. The virtual workshop will take place over 2, 3-hour sessions. Providers must attend both sessions in order to complete the training.
