Does your family planning program have a provider who needs IUD insertion and removal training? The New York State Family Planning Training Center is excited to announce a partnership with the National Clinical Training Center for Family Planning to offer FREE, completely virtual IUD insertion and removal training for Family Planning Program staff. 

About the training: The National Clinical Training Center for Family Planning is offering a 4-hour training that consists of two portions. The virtual IUD Insertion and Removal portion of the training lasts 90 minutes. The trainers will ship IUD demo kits and pelvic model right to your door. You will receive a link to the online pre-work. The live training will include a brief review followed by virtual hands-on practice. Following a 30 minute break, the second portion of the training includes 2.5 hours of LARC Challenging Cases where participants will explore strategies to reduce the number of failed IUD placements, streamline implant removal and minimize the risk of adverse events with placement and removal of LARC methods. If interested, you must register for both portions of the training on the same day.
