Did you know that, based on feedback from the community, expedited partner therapy is now expedited partner treatment (EPT) in New York State? During this webinar, we found out why this change was made and what else is new with EPT in this one-hour webinar for New York State Family Planning Program providers featuring representatives of the NYSDOH Office of Sexual Health and Epidemiology. We reviewed the basics of EPT: when is EPT legal, for whom, and under what circumstances, and discussed the benefits of EPT and potential missed opportunities for its use. At the end, common questions and misconceptions about EPT were addressed by our speakers. They also highlighted print materials and social media campaign information that Family Planning Program providers can use to increase awareness of EPT.
