Calling all front desk staff and site managers! Do staff sometimes find it challenging to collect family size and income information in order to correctly apply your sliding fee scale? Do you have questions about how to determine what a client with insurance should pay at check-in?

The New York State Family Planning Training Center and Lisa Schamus, a Title X advisor for the Reproductive Health National Training Center hosted an interactive virtual workshop on applying your agency’s sliding fee scale. This 90-minute session included a brief presentation of the issues and related New York State Family Planning Program expectations, practice scenarios, and opportunities for folks to problem-solve with their peers.

This session was primarily geared for front desk staff, site managers, and/or program administrators, though anyone working in a family planning program were welcome.
