Webinar: STI Data Trends and Sexual Health Programming in New York State: Updates from the NYSDOH AIDS Institute
Rates of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis are high—and rising. National trends show sustained acceleration in the three notifiable sexually transmitted infections (STI). Meanwhile, Mpox presents new challenges that demand attention and resources. We were joined by Wilson Miranda, MPH, Director of Surveillance and Special Projects at the New York State Department of Health’s Office of Sexual Health and Epidemiology, AIDS Institute. During this webinar, we reviewed national, state, and regional epidemiologic trends in notifiable STIs; shared efforts to address rising rates of STIs; and highlighted key resources for family planning providers. At the end, we discussed participant questions and reactions to these data and what their clinics are experiencing with regards to STIs.
